Opportunity...
There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work

Our team had the opportunity to put on a carnival of sorts in a park frequently visited by the Muslim population of Minneapolis.

We loved playing games with the kids, doing face painting and making balloon animals with them.  Playing with the parachute was such a great idea - it was a perfect for grabbing attention and we all LOVED it!  We all had so much fun!

While some of us were playing with the kids, others were able to have conversations with the adults. One encounter at the park:

The boy's mom was Somali, but he grew up in the states under other influences. He was very open to talking about Jesus and had an almost instantaneous connection with one of the members in our group. She explained everything about Jesus and he listened intently, seeming to understand everything and even agreeing. He was given a Jesus film and was excited to go home and watch it. The mother seemed to be accepting. This encounter was very encouraging and inspirational, and we continue to pray that God will reveal himself to this boy and his mom!
